Privacy Policy of the Luxembourg Agribusiness Association

Luxembourg Agribusiness Association (“LAA”) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of visitors to its Site www.agribusiness.lu (the “Site”). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) sets out the terms on which LAA processes any personal data LAA collects from you or that you provide to LAA. By using the Site, you consent to such processing, and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time, so please check it regularly. Any significant changes to this Privacy Policy will be clearly indicated on the Site’s home page.

1. The information LAA collects

You are not required to provide any personal information on the public areas of the Site. However, you may choose to do so by completing the application forms on various sections of the Site or by providing personal details relating to you in the application form when applying to become a member of LAA.

2. How LAA uses this information

LAA will only use the information you provide on the relevant sections of the Site or in the application form in order to:

  • process the relevant form,
  • provide you with access to content (either through the download of materials or by enabling you to access the section of the website dedicated to registered users), and
  • provide you with relevant research, information and commercial materials selected by LAA. Please note that you have the option to opt out of receiving any further research, information and commercial materials by contacting [email protected].

LAA will only disclose your information to third parties where you have given your consent or where LAA is required to do so by law or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend LAA’s legal rights and, as the case may be, those of its partners and members. 3. Logs and Cookies

LAA uses two types of cookies on the Site:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site are essential in order to enable you to move around the Site and use its features.
  • Performance cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site collect information about how visitors use the Site, for example by logging which pages visitors go to most often.

When accessing the Site, users are informed about LAA’s Cookie Policy and are directed to accept or modify the cookie settings.

4. IP addresses

The Site does not collect IP addresses from website visitors. IP addresses are temporarily checked only to block a blacklist of dangerous IPs and networks.

LAA uses up-to-date data storage and security techniques to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification or unlawful destruction or accidental loss. All LAA employees and any third parties it engages to process your personal data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data LAA holds about you, to have any inaccurate information about you corrected, as well as to ask for the deletion of all personal data related to you. You also have the right to stop receiving marketing materials from LAA at any time.
